Notes
Burial Notes:
He is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
General:
It appears that Josiah and William were the pioneers, with Josiah moving to IL ca. 1866 and William going ca. 1869. They lived next to each other in LaSalle County. It is only speculation that John and Isabelle lived there for a while too. William and Nancy moved to KS about 1876. So either John and Isabelle went with them or they encouraged John and Isabelle to come after they got there. As you probably recall, Nancy had Laura L. in Nov 1876 and died six months later in KS. She is buried in Oakwood. Josiah and Amy adopted and raised Laura. Shortly thereafter, William married Susan Sivert of Marshall Co., WV. I believe she lived until about 1911 (not sure where she is buried); and they had two children. William moved to California, as did his son Lawson. Both died there. William ca. 1926 but he is buried back in Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons, I believe.

In the meantime, Josiah and Amy stayed in IL until ca. 1880 and then moved to KS. Annie Richmond Woodburn and James Richmond were still in Marshall Co. in 1880 census. I'm not sure where son John (who married Dorcus) was -- might have come to KS about the same time as parents. Also don't know about Mary who married Franklin Goshorn/Goshom. I believe oldest daughter Rachel who married Joseph Lydick stayed in Marshall County; but her husband and children moved to KS after her death. 2
