BIOGRAPHY: Johannes was born at Fox Hall, the manor of Thomas Chambers in Kingston,NY. He moved from Kingston to the Minisink country between the years 1689, when his son Niclaes was born, and 1700 when his daughter was born in Menissing NY.

In 1696 he and his brothers Symen and Niclaes were among the names mentioned in the deed of conveyance by the "Indian proprietors of lands lying in the bounds of Menissing and Waggackemeck" (now Deerpark) NY. (See Stickney reference above.)

On 22 Feb 1733 both Johannes and his son Jacob lived at Meghaghkemeck (Deerpark in Orange Co NY) when he conveyed by deed lands in Ulster Co. to Jacob.
