Eudora Maria Greathouse The Greathouse Canning Label is from a canning company run by the family in the early 1900's up through the 1960's. I am not positive about the dates. I believe you will find mention in the Greathouse History Bulletin of Dora Greathouse picking tomatoes for the company while in her 70's or such. I do know that Herman Greathouse ran it for a while. He was the son of Alexander James Greathouse who was the third child of Robert Ambrose Greathouse. RAG was the brother of Benjamin H. Greathosuse.
The company was located on what is now Hwy 112 where it crosses Clear Creek...maybe two football fields from the Greathouse Springs. All of that is in Fayetteville. The area is a golf course now. 1
