On the house in the picture. I spoke with some of the Reeds who live where the house stood. They believe the house in the picture is actually Bob Greathouse's home...he was the son of Robert Ambrose Greathouse. There are others that say it originally belonged to Robert Ambrose Greathouse. Dora moved back into the old house...see copy of letter below that also appears in Jack Greathouses' History. It is from her son, Alfred Wasson:
"Uncle Bob and Aunt Jose are living in the little house across the creek and Gladys and Ray live on Uncle Bob's old place. Uncle Bob had just bought a new car and he took Mamma and me on several trips, which we greatly enjoyed. The old house has not changed much inside or out. Mamma has the north room upstairs. It is probably the best room for her in the house. She does not seem to have difficulty in going up and down the steps and she can have more privacy there than in a downstairs room. I am afraid, however, it will be cold for Mamma in the winter. That would be true of any room in the house."
