But the only Kirby we could find when we visited was William Jeff Kirby 1862 - 1938, his son. This is also the only Kirby we have found in transcriptions. This William Jeff may be buried there, as there are a number of old un-readable stones. _ Lynn Leonard William married Mary Elizabeth Vandal, daughter of Jonathan Boggs Vandal and Zeruah Ingram, on 11 May 1859.1 (Mary Elizabeth Vandal was born on 21 Oct 1839 in , Kanawha County, Virginia,2 3 died on 6 Oct 1908 and was buried in Wauneta -Round Mound Cemetery, Chautauqua County , Kansas.)   Marriage Notes: William J Kerby age 35 born in VA living in Marshall Co VA son of Peter & Sophena married Mary E Vandal age 19 born in Jackson Co, VA, living in Roane d/o John B and Zernah - marriage date is May 11 1859. 2
