• Photos: John T. Green and John T. Jefferson Mims. 88 Photos in curved glass frames of John T. Green and John Thomas Jefferson Mims, hanging on the wall at Louise Dunn's house.
These picutures were given to Uncle Sollie by my grandmother, Mattie Lou Mims McLaney "for sake keeping", with one condition, they always remain a set. The photos originally were placed over the fireplace mantle in the main room at the McLaney house and can be seen in the LC McLaney Family photo.

• Photo: tombstone, Wicksburg - Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Houston County, Alabama. 2 Photo by from John Phil McLaney, Jr. who noted that John and Mary Caroline are buried in the Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery , but only John, listed as Thomas J. on his head stone, has a marker. The marker is broken. It was placed there by the Masonic Lodge of which he was a member.

Notes
General:
Source: Retha Hales Childress gave spouse and children listed and was searching for parents of Thomas Jefferson Mims who she said must be the same as this individual. Note: the letter from aunt Maggie Mims to Uncle Thomas Teck Gilley that many family member quote is in the possession of Retha.

Source John Phil McLaney, Jr.
John Thomas Jefferson Mims: According to an undated letter written by "Aunt Maggie Mims" to "Uncle Thomas Teck Gilley" her grandfather was Joshaway (Joshua) Mims and her grandmother was Sarah Banks . According to that information John Thomas Jefferson Mims was the son of David J. Mims and Sarah Banks who married on 8 March 1859 in Pike, County, Alabama.
...
It was believed for some time that J.T.J. Mims was possibly the son of Thomas Mims (b.ca. 1812 in SC) and Dorinda M. Black Mims (b.ca. 1825 in AL) who married in Pike County on 5 May 1847 by Isaac C. Horn .. but this has been proven incorrect.

Most of my information on the John Thomas Jefferson Mims Family came from Geraldine Williams Gilmore, 2nd child of Mary Annie Maude Mims Williams - who was the youngest child of John Thomas Jefferson Mims and Mary Caroline Greathouse Mims.

John Thomas Jefferson Mims headstone reads Thomas J. Mims, his marriage record is John J. Mims and some other records refere to him as Jeff Mims.
