John, John Jacob, or Jacob Castle' received a land grant in Richmond Co., GA about 1780 or 1785, which could have been subdivided into Columbia Co., GA. In 1802 and estate sale is advertised in an Augusta Co., GA newspaper by John Cassels, administrator. In 1802 court records of Columbia Co., GA and surrounding counties, a John Castle along with son and other sons-in=law of Jacob Greathouse, gave a quit claim deed to settle that estate. He in 1816 will in Jasper Co., GA leaving widow, Christian and children.
