bullet  Notes:

Several of the family, (Greathouses, Rectors, Hales, and Davidsons) came to Farwell, Texas on the train in 1907 where they bought wagons and horses and filed on land at Frio, New Mexico in Quay Co., near Forrest, NM. John Patton and Fannie Mae Lowe spent the rest of their liveS in this area. They were farmers and farmed the land 20 and 1/2 miles north of Melrose and 9 miles east of Ragland, NM. They had 2 stillborn children while living in KY. They were the parents of eleven other children.

From fern gold: My grandfather, John Patton Lowe, has the wrong month of death on his tombstone. His son had the stone done the month after John Patton was buried and the month in which the tombstone was made was used. They decided not to get it changed, although those still living are quick to point out that this is the wrong month.
