"We found St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Strasburg, Shenandoah, Co., VA. That was the oldest Lutheran congregation in the area. We purchased an English translation of the church records from 1768-1829, edited by Klaus Wust. The Greathouse entries were:

1807 census Indiana Territory, Knox Co., lists #1047 James Majors and #1048 John Greathouse.
And Elizabeth Greathouse who married James Majors, May 27, 1803 in Warren Co. KY. 1850 census Illinois, Wabash Co., Elizabeth Majors, 73, in home of Frederick Miller and wife Hester. (to be verified Hester probably is daughter of James and Elizabeth Majors) 1860 census shows Elizabeth Majors, age 83 and Emory Majors age 21 born Wabash, Co., IL
