Mrs. Highley
Mrs. Lue Jeanie Highley, 74, of 237 Kerfoot St,. East Peoria, widow of Wilson Highley, died at 9 p.m. Thursday in Peoria. She had been ill since February.
Born in Claypool, yY., Jan. 1, 1877, she was a daughter of Jim and Susan Greathouse Hardschastle. She married Mr. Highley in 1899 at Hadley, Ky. He died in 1932. Mrs. Highley was a member of the Baptist church in Kentucky.
Surviving are three sons, Ira E. of East Peoria, and James and William, both of Peoria; two brothers, William E Hardschastley of East Peoria and Mason of Bowling Green, Ky., and one sister, Mrs. Sallie Ann Smith of Claypool, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Schmidt funeral parlors in East Peoria. The Rev. Walter Smith of Glad Tidings Assembly of God church will officiate. Internment will be in Fondulac cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral parlors after 4 p.m. Sunday.
