Notes
Death Notes:
Source: Vivian M. Taylor - Elizabeth's estimated death date is based on the fact that Elizabeth is named in the 1810 land sale with her husband John Greathouse. Elizabeth is not named in the 1811 land sale that her husband John Greathouse made.
General:
Elizabeth's birth date is based the following: She is over 45 in the 1810 census, which means that she was born before 1765. Also she has a child born abt 1773. This puts birth estimated 1752-1756
Of course it could have been earlier.

Concerning her death date,Vivian Taylor says : She is alive in 1810 as evidenced by the land sale and the 1810 census.
On 4 Sep 1810, John Greathouse and wife Elizabeth sold 300 acres "that they now lived on" to William Caldwell. On 8 Oct 1811, John Greathouse, Sen. [No Wife] sold 84 Acres of land on Jessamine Creek for $1,136.00 to George Walker. So, the conjecture is that she died between those two dates.

Marriage Notes (John Greathouse Sr.)
Source: Vivian M. Taylor - I suspect John and Elizabeth were married in Strasburg, but I don't know how to prove it without extant marriage records in that church book since Virginia counties did not record marriages until 1780. The other logical place to look would be the Tulpehocken area of Berks County, Pennsylvania. I have looked through all the marriage records I can find for that area plus the personal records of marriages and baptisms performed by Rev. Casper Stoever, and I have not found their marriage.
