The reason for this is Michael Greathouse bought land in Martinsburg, WA Co, IN on Aug 15, 1821. We next find Michael at the estate sale of John Shepherd on the 28-29th of Nov 1822 or 23. This was in "The Hoosier Journal--Washington County". We then have Michael and Margaret "Peggy" Snawder getting married on Jan 30, 1825 in Gibson, IN. We then find Michael and Peggy selling land shares to Peggy's brother thru an attorney in Jefferson Co., KY on Sept 6, 1828. Then on June 2, 1830 Michael and Peggy sold the lots and moved to Vigo Co., IN.
Some show him as Willaim Michael Greahouse. We have no evidence for the name.
