Family Links Jacob Greathouse 1 Born: Cal 1833, , , Ohio 1   General Notes: We previously connected Jacob to wife Bessie Lee Hale and children. Delores Greathouse McCartney says her family history states that Jacob, born 1833 and son of Solomn married Bessie Lee Hale and had the follwoing children: Rexall, James Hugh, Evelyn,Bessie, Lydia,and Helen. Debby Allen noted that Jacob and Bessie Lee Hales were married in 1898. Further research found Jacob Scammahem Greathouse married to Bessie Lee Hales in the Herman Groethausen family file. We have multiple census and other records to support that family group. But we continue to search for evidence that supports the family history of Delores.   Items of interest in his life include: • He appeared on the U. S.
