Gerald G. "Jerry" Nuttman of Lebanon died Wednesday. He was 67.
He was born in Sweet Home to Anthony and Isabelle Gedney Nuttman. He attended Sweet Home Grade School and attended school in Mapleton. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Furse.
He married Dorene Darby on Nov. 15, 1957, in Sodaville.
He worked for Champion International for 28 years and worked for Rainier Wood Products for 10 years, until his retirement in 1998.
He belonged to American Legion Post 51 in Lebanon and enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Dorene Nuttman of Lebanon; a daughter, Babs Miller of Salem; a son, David Nuttman of Portland; a sister, Joanne Alexy; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A luncheon in his honor will be held at 1130 a.m. Nov. 7 at American Legion Post 51 in Lebanon.
