I think John was married twice. I think his first wife was Mary Ann Fort (m. 24 Aug 1837, Hancock Co., Indiana (ref C1, 127]. The children from that marriage are William (b. 22 Jun 1840]; Lafayette (b. 29 Nov 1841); Amanda (m. Josephus Wright); and Robert.
