Isaac and Betsey Swope, both Virginians, m. in Greenbriar Co., & came to these parts & Settled on upper Middle Fork of Reedy 1844; with them or born soon after their arrival were their three sons and three daughters; George, Jacob, H., Floyd, Amanda, Elvira and Rebecca.
