bullet  Notes:

Date of birth is given as May 25, 1782. This is unlikely as she would have been only 10 years of age at her marriage.
Also the dates of birth of the children listed do not fit. 1800 census shows Peter age 21-45; spouse Christianna-Anstina age 46+; 1 male age 16-20; 1 male age 11-15; 3 males 10 and under; 2 females age 16-20; 1 female age 11-15. This would give Anstina a birth date of 1754.
FROM MAURINE WARD: Peter STREEPER, son of Leonard STREEPER and Rebecca GREATHOUSE is shown on records with three different possibilities for a wife. Descendants have chosen their favorite one. Joan and I think there is really one one wife. Charles Major's family records for his Streeper ancestry shows Peter Streeper, son of Leonard STREPER and Rebecca GREATHOUSE, born 18 Nov 1754, died 23 Jan 1820, married (1) 26 Feb 1788 at Christ Church, Phila, Christiana COXE. Married (2) Anstina RAPP, who was born 18 Jun 1762, died 28 Jan 1839, German Reformed Church, Germantown. Notice there is a marriage date to Christiana, but no birth or death. There is a birth and death for Anstina, but no marriage. This is the only place the surname COXE shows up. Peter had 10 children:
Germantown Reformed Church shows the following children born to Peter and Ernestina STREEPER: chr 1 May 1785 Daniel STRUBER, sponsors Daniel HAEGI and Catharine RAPP chr 20 Aug 1787 Bernard STRUBER*, sponsors Bernard RAPP and Catharine RAPP chr 9 Nov 1794 Peter STREBER, Catharine STREBER, Bernard STREBER*, Daniel STREBER, Leonard STREBER, Mary STREBER, Rebecca STREBER,all born to Peter STREBER and Ernestina, who were the sponsors. chr 10 Jan 1798, Elizabeth STREBER, born to Peter and Ernestina, who were sponsors. chr 30 May 1804, John STRIEPER, born to Peter and Ernestina STRIEPER, who were the sponsors. (the two Bernards have the same birth date, but different christening dates.
Two children are buried in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery at Barren Hill, Montgomery, PA: Sarah STREEPER and John STREEPER, both gravestones list parents as Peter and Anstina R. [RAPP?] STREEPER. Mont. Co. PA deed book 5, deed Peter STREPER and wife to Catharine RAPP, dated 1790, says that Peter's wife was Christiana RAPP, the daughter of Bernard and Catharine RAPP.
Peter STREEPER, of Whitemarsh died in 1820, aged 65 years, 2 months and 15 days, and is buried at Barren Hill. His will mentions his sons and daughters. Executors were sons Leonard and Daniel and wife Christiana [supposedly the 1st wife, according to some families]. However, his wife Anstina outlived him, she died in 1859 and is buried at Barren Hill. The tombstone shows her aged 76 years, 7 months and 10 days. The tombstone of Peter and Ernestine's daughter Mary, who died in 1816, shows her married name correctly as Mary KARR, wife of Robert KARR, but then says she was the daughter of Peter and Christianna KARR. In Mar 1817, Peter STRIEPER and wife Christina are sponsors at the baptism of grandson Levi STRIEPER, who was the son of Daniel and his wife Margaret. Daniel also had a daughter named Anstina. Joan Higgins wonders if Peter's wife was really Anna Christina. Surely enough, I found this name too. Their son Bernard and his wife had a daughter, Hanna baptized in 1813. Sponsors were Peter STRIPER and wife Anna Christina.

THIS INFO IS FROM JOAN HIGGINS IN MAY 2001: Confusion reigns on this woman's first name** and last name***. **The baptismal records of her children have her first name as spelled several different ways - Christina, Ernstina and Anstina. **In Peter's Will written Oct.26,1819 and proved Feb.10,1820 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania -Book S page 199. He calls his wife Christiana. ** Her son's Tombstone Inscription says," In memory of Bernard Streeper [1787-1827] son of Peter and Christiana Streeper" ** The cemetery Inscriptions for her daughter Sarah [1800-1834]name her parents as Peter and Anstina. R. Streeper. ~-~-~-~I think she may have been Anna Christina or Christina Ann and it was shorten to Anstina to avoid confusion with other relatives.

Her last name is not much better.*** ***The gravestone inscriptions for her daughter Mary - name her parents as Peter and Christianna Karr Streeper, This is what Connie is referring to when she says, "in PA Vital Records Volume 3 had this as Karr." *** Another record has it as Rapp, which matches the R. on Sarah's tombstone. ~-~-~-~Since the inscriptions were transcribed from weather worn tombstones it is possible that RAPP looked like KARR. *** But then the "Record of Pennsylvania Marriages Prior to 1810 Volume 1 Marriage Record of Christ Church [a Swedish church], Philadelphia 1709-1806" has the marriage of Coxe, Christian, and Peter Stecker on 1788, Feb. 26, This has added hopelessly to the confusion. ~-~-~-~Even though the names are kind of similar the dates don't work at all.
