Johnson into the Bethelem Baptist Church in the eastern part of Harris County in 1852. Bethlehem Baptist Church History (Located between Hamilton & Shiloh) Existed prior to November 22, 1829 when Columbus Baptist Association was organized. Bethlehem was one of the churches mentiond from Harris County. Members built first structure in 1811. Early preacher was Early Greathouse. pt. 617 tells of baptising J. G. Johnson.
