Kevin Lee Magnus, 38, of Arkansas City, died Thursday, July 8, 2004 in Arkansas City. Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2004 in the Maple City Cemetery. Pastor Robert L. Ferris will officiate.
Born June 4, 1966 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, Kevin was the son of Ernest F. and Doris E. (McCall) Magnus. Kevin grew up and attended schools in Arkansas City, graduating in 1984. He attended Hutchinson Community College. In 1985, Kevin married Pamela Hadden in South Haven and the couple made their home Arkansas City. Their marriage ended in a divorce.
Kevin was an avid camper and rock climber, serving as a guide in Taos, New Mexico and on the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimmaron, New Mexico. Kevin was working as a carpenter for Bloyer Construction in Winfield.
Kevin is survived by two brothers, Eric Lance Magnus of Olathe and Jerry Tucker of Americus; numerous aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
