"I was personally and well acquainted with Isaac M. Greathouse, a son of George Greathouse Sr., and Carolline Greathouse, and who was adjudged insane by the Probate Court of Cloud County, Kansas, on or about April 13, 1901, when the said Isaac M. Greathouse was about 49 years of age, and I know personally the said Isaac M. Greathouse was never married and that he left no issue. The said Isaac M. Greathouse departed this life on or about Jan. 7, 1908, while an inmate of the State Insane Asylum at Topeka, KS...." (Elizabeth Faler notes that the Kansas State Asylum was actually located at Osawatomie, KS and not at Topeka)
