When Bitha's daughter was in high school Bitha came up with some family facts, which she had learned from her youth. Bitha's grandmother was Jane Cox and Jane's father was Jonathan Cox. The Quaker records gave the following record of Jonathan's family: notice that there is a Ruth, b. 1835, listed which is the aunt of Ruth Ann Johnson. Jonathan and Sarah cox were distant cousins in the Quaker Cox family.
