General:
There is some question as to the parents of Jacob. Some say that his parents were John & Milly Greathouse & some say William & Barbara [Cale] Greathouse. So far we have been unable to prove who his parents were. Have a picture of Jacob & Catherine. The picture had belonged to my grandmother. Jacob died sometime after the 1900 census& before the 1910 census. My grandmother was 12 years old in 1900 so she knew her grandfather well. The information on this line came from my grandmother & the families were always very close & my grandmother had written information on the family.
Census: Preston Co., WV/VA- 1900 living with son Simon; 1880; 1870; 1860; 1850.
Preston County Court House burned in 1869 so have not located all info.
In the 1850, 1870, 1880, & 1900 census, Jacob is listed as being born in PA.
