Mrs C. N. Hiett's Mother Dies
News came to our city Wednesday evening announcing the passing away of Mrs G. R. Greathouse, of Fort Worth, mother of Mrs C. N. Hiett.
Mrs G. R. Greathouse 73, of 2223 Provine Street, died at her home in Forth Worth Wednesday evening at 5:45.
Mrs Greathouse, a resident of Fort Worth for 26 years, moved there after her marriage to the late Geroge R. Greathouse, ranchman of Decatur. She was born in Fountain Head Tennesseea dn moved to Mansfield when a young girl. He father Dr. Duff Hodges was a practicing physician for many years in that community.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs R. J. Pofefur, Mrs E. L. Sprague, Fort Worth, and Mrs C. N. Hiett, Arlington; a son D. W. Greathouse, Fort Worth; a sister Mrs W. B. McKnight and eight grandchildren.
Funeral service was hel at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the residence. Burial was in Mansfield Cemetery.
Active Palearers were James McKnight, J. T. Davis, District Judge Hal S. Lattimore, N. Hiett, and Otis and Homer House, Honoary Pallbears were Oscar Gillespie, C. B. Bead, Dr. W. B. McKnight, Dr. Hodges McKnight, Dr C.P. McKnight, and C. Basham.
