bullet  Notes:

He died of indigestion and old age. At time of his and Mary's death, they each owned 80 acres of farm land that was purchased by their son, Jesse Anderson Seitz. At the time of the marriage of Henry and Mary, he was a tailor (1850 census of ???) It is thought that after in father's death in 1856, he moved to Illinois. Later he moved his family in a covered wagon, arriving in Sumner county, Kansas during a blizzard in February 1871. He took a claim and became a farmer.

From notes of Pauline Massengail:

Henry Anderson Seiz was born June 1827 at Carlisle, Cumberland county, Pennsylvania. He died of idigestion on 18 January 1907 at Anson, Kansas and is buried in the Austin Cemetery, Anson, Kansas.
Henry Anderson and Mary Ann Keck were married. The date of marriage according to the 1850 census records was probably late 1849 or early 1850; according to the Seitz "History" they were married in 1847.
Mary Ann Keck was born at Landisburg, Perry county, Pennsylvania, 24 March 1827. Mary Ann and Henry Anderson moved into a new two-room house near Eliza Jane and Jesse A. Seitz late in 1904, probably November, and the plaster was still damp. Mary Ann had a cold which turned into pneumonia. She died on 6 January 1905 and is buried in the Austin Cemetery, Anson, Kansas.
At the time of his marriage, Henry Anderson Seitz was a tailor. He was noted for his singing voice and gave singing lessons in Penn., Ill. and Kansas. Henry and Mary Ann lived at Carlisle, PA where 3 children were born. Laura Ann, Jesse Anderson and a baby John who died at 13 days of age. It is thought that after his father's death in 1856, Henry moved his family to Illinois where he continued being a tailor. The remainder of his family, three girls were born there; Sarah Elizabeth, Mary Ida and Abbie Matilda. 3
