bullet  Notes:

From notes of Pauline Massengail:

(1) Abbie Seitz Morgan, daughter of Mary Keck/Henry Anderson Seitz told to Jessie and Frank Aker (probably 1959 era):

In regard to Father's Father and Mother, I'm not well informed myself as Father scarcely ever mentioned them. Grandfather was Pennsylvania Dutch. I cannot say about Grandmother Seitz. Grandfather Keck (Mothers Father) was Penn Dutch but her mother was American. I heard my mother say she could not speak Dutch. Mother could speak Dutch later but they never spoke it at home. I never learned any of it. They had six children I think. I think Mothers name was Mary Ann Keck. Grandfather Keck was a farmer and his children mostly farmers. Her brother Soloman visited us all through the years. He married the Governer of Illinois' daughter but I've forgotten names. I think Mother had a brother William and sister Ann. Their children lived in Iowa and Illinois. Also, there was probably a son, Warren.

(2) Library of Congress: book giving Governors of Illinois and something about each- Soloman Keck (b. after March 1827) (brother of Mary Ann Keck) m. daughter of a governor of Illinois.
