CEMETERY: New Bethel Cemetery.

NAME: Her name was hard for census takers to note correctly. For instance, in the 1860 VA Federal census microfilm for Barbour Co., p. 68, she is written as Amelia. MINISTER: Rev. Charles Willis (at marriage).

CAUSE OF DEATH: Tuberculosis, according to Dessie England Schoonover, widow of Permelia's grandson Stuart Schoonover, in an interview with Brenda Burner Ericsson on 15 Nov 1991, at her home in Belington, WV.

AGE AT DEATH: 79.

EPITAPH: "Rest mother, rest in quiet /sleep, while friends in/sorrow, o'er thee weep."
