The military records were never sent to Washington D.C., so her pension request was denied.

Saltmarsh gets case continued until 1868, when the judge orders the land sold. Sometime between posting bail and 1 Jan 1867 the leave Macon County, Missouri, and Clarinda buys land in St.Clair Co., Mo on 1 Jan 1867. Thomas Schoonover received a subpoena to testify in this case.
