Source: Penny Knapp - Jasper was called "Jeep". I remember him coming to our house when I was a young teenager. He was wounded in WWII and lost his legs, but that didn't keep him from having a good time. Once he came in a small plane. He took me for a ride and we flew over my grandfathers, Jasper Penningtons, farm. He did so many loops and stunts that I finally got really sick. Jeep and his wife Francis were divorced and he remarried. I only know this from family talk. It is said that he and his second wife separated. I met his 1st wife and like her very much. I never met or knew the name of his 2nd wife. Some time later he was found at home dead from a gun shot sound. I do not know any details. 329
