There is some speculation that given name was Henry, leading to further speculation that John, his father was a son of Henry and Ann. Not enough to make a firm connection of this line to Henry Groethausen.

Elizabeth Faler believes Elias b. 1802 in KY is this individual with son Sylvester b. 1837.
