Kathy Berigan source for Samuel L. Greathouse
Kathy Berigan: "A Samuel L. Greathouse married a Margaret McVeele, Jan. 23, 1817, in Posey Co., IND, John Stapleton, Esq. officiating. Could Elizabeth be the second wife?"
1850 Scott Co. Census shows Elizabeth as head of household with Margaret, age 13, Napoleon, age 12, Francis, age 10, and Mager (Major?), age 6. Scott County was formed out of Morgan Co. in 1839. Elizabeth is not listed in 1840 Scott Co. Census as head of household. Major would have been born in 1844, so Samuel must have still been alive in early 1840s.
